Introducing Collage. Thought and Creativity Space

In Thought and Creativity Space we love to let them to familiarity with the basic materials; paint, clay, collage, and construction. 

Collage is a wonderful technique, especially for young children because it nurtures their natural desire to explore the world through their sense of touch. It also allows a certain level of flexibility. In this activity children can make decisions about which materials to use and can then manipulate these shapes of various textures, forms and color until they are satisfied with their arrangement. For younger kids or children just beginning to work with collage, it is important to let go of any expectation. Let them feel and manipulate the textures in their hands, and they need time to do this.  They may or may not glue it down, they may glue their hands together and that is ok too. There is no need to make something specific.  We should to let them experiment with abstract designs and compositions.

Objectives:  

• Create a unique piece of artwork

• Talk about their work and the creative process

• Improve cognitive capacity

• Work fine clamp

Materials: 

• A paper

• Glue

• A small Brush

• Pieces of plastics, color papers and fabrics

Procedure: 

There is no need to make something specific. You can guide them towards symbolic representation by asking “How would you use these materials?” 

It is also perfectly positive to let them experiment with abstract designs and compositions.

En Pensamiento y Creatividad nos gusta que se familiaricen con  los materiales básicos: pintura, arcilla, collage y construcción. 

El collage es una técnica maravillosa, especialmente para niños pequeños, ya que nutre su deseo natural de explorar el mundo a través de su sentido del tacto. Con esta actividad los niños pueden tomar decisiones sobre qué materiales usar y luego pueden manipular estas formas de varias texturas y colores hasta que estén satisfechos con su disposición. Para los niños más pequeños es importante dejar de lado cualquier expectativa. Hay que dejarlos sentir y manipular las texturas en sus manos, y ellos necesitan tiempo para hacer esto. Pueden o no pegarlo, pueden pegarse las manos y eso también estará bien. No hay necesidad de hacer algo específico. Debemos dejarlos experimentar con diseños y composiciones abstractas.

Objetivos:

• Crear una obra de arte única

• Hablar sobre su trabajo y el proceso creativo

• Mejorar capacidades cognitivas

• Trabajar la pinza fina

Materiales:

• Papel

• Pegamento

• Pincel pequeño

• Trozos de tela, plásticos y papeles de colores

Procedimiento:

No hay necesidad de hacer algo específico. Podemos guiarlos hacia la representación simbólica preguntando "¿Cómo usarías estos materiales?" 

También es beneficioso dejarlos experimentar con diseños y composiciones abstractas.
