The human brain is an organ that improves through mental stimulation. The brain continuously adapts, grows and rewires itself through the growth of new neurons. If you don’t use your brain, it loses flexibility. Using your opposite hand will strengthen neural connections in your brain, and even grow new ones. You’ll probably notice it’s much harder to be precise with your movements because using your non-dominant, or opposite hand confuses your brain but the brain is in charge of keeping you functioning and it does that with predictability. If you’d like to unleash some hidden creativity, try drawing with your opposite hand. They can also try it with their feet. It is sometimes the nudge our practical brain needs to “move out of the way” for the creative process to get flowing!

El cerebro humano es un órgano que mejora a través de la estimulación mental. El cerebro se adapta, crece y se reconecta continuamente a través del crecimiento de nuevas neuronas. Si no usas bien el cerebro este pierde flexibilidad. Usar la mano opuesta fortalecerá las conexiones neuronales en su cerebro e incluso desarrollará otras nuevas. Probablemente notarán que es mucho más difícil ser preciso con sus movimientos porque usar su mano no dominante u opuesta confunde a su cerebro, pero el cerebro está a cargo de mantenerlo funcionando y lo hace con previsibilidad. Si deseas que liberen algo de creatividad oculta, haz que intenten dibujar con la mano opuesta. También pueden probarlo con los pies. ¡A veces es el empujón que nuestro cerebro práctico necesita para que el proceso creativo fluya!
